Hey everybody, it’s Tinky! Here we go again! I see a suitcase on the bed with “stuff” in it. I know mom is leaving and I gotta do something about it. She is not going to leave without me.

I overheard her tell her “other” daughter what fun they were going to have in Santa Bar Bra. I am definately going with her this time. This is my plan. I will pack my toy box with a few toys and some kibble and scoot it to the front door. I’ll put on my vacation “viser” and will look at her with my beautiful brown eyes, site up real pretty and beg to go with her. She won’t be able to resist.

Okay, I know I am waaaay behind on my blogging, and there is no excuse. I received two great awards a little while back and I am just now getting around to posting them. It’s not that I am not appreciative, it’s just that I am just downright lazy.

This first award was given to me by Joy at Joy of Desserts on May 3rd. Oh my gosh…May 3rd, and here it is May 24th! This is my all time favorite award because it is the cutest one that I have ever seen. Thank you, Joy..I love it. I am supposed to give this award to 10 people, but I have previously given this award to 10 bloggers that I love.

The second award was also given to me by Joy at Joy of Desserts on May 17th (okay, I am beginning to see a pattern here). I think this is in Italian? Joy translated it for everyone, and it says, “Love Me. When I deserve it the least is when I need it the most.” Although, I am not sure if this is an official Award (only because it doesn’t have the word, “Award” in it), but I still love the fact that Joy was thinking of me when she gave this award to all of her bloggy friends.

You must stop by Joy’s blog if you love desserts, and you know who you are. My very favorite dessert she posted is the Sprinkles cupcake recipe. I made them, and they are to die for! Both my daughter and my daughter-in-law have birthdays next month and I am going to make these instead of a cake. I will put 1 candle on each cupcake. They will be impressed! I also have to save a cupcake for Jonesy, Sissy and Tinky. Sissy just love loves cupcakes, cakes, ice cream and puddin’.

I would like to pass on this “Love Me Award” to a few of my bloggy friends:

Cara at Deep Fried Apple Pies, Erin at Erin’s Blog, Sharon at Hustle Hag, and Mercedes at Mercedes World.

Mercedes needs a lot of love right now because she just lost Patch, her wonderful and loyal Dalmatian. We love you Mercedes.

Now it’s your turn to “Spread The Love”, and don’t forget to link back when you have accepted your Award!

I have the neatest pet store that I go to. Every Wednesday evening and Saturday afternoon they have a shot clinic. I always take my dogs because it saves on the vet bill. You can also purchase your dog license there. Other services include free nail clipping, and deshedding your dog or cat.

Since I have all this money that George Dubya gave me, all I can think about is how to spend it. I was at my neighborhood pet store yesterday to get some kibble for the kids and I wanted to spend some of my economic stimulus money on a FURminator for Sissy and Tinky. The FURminator is a deshedding tool that eliminates excess fur from your pet. The stainless steel edge grabs and removes the loose, dead undercoat without damaging or cutting the top coat. I went up to the register to pay for the food and looked for  it, and they were out of stock!  The girl behind the counter assured me that they were getting a delivery today and I told her I would be back.

She offered to deshed Sissy if I would bring her in. I came back with Jonesy and Sissy and they both got their nails trimmed and Sissy got deshedded. For a small dog, I swear she had enough fur to make a small sweater for Tinky. She even looks a pound thinner! Her coat is now beautiful and shiny, and she knows she looks pretty too.

Hey all you hairy dogs out there, and you know who you are, have your mom spend some of that stimulus tax money on one of those FURminators for you.

There seems to be one pet in my family that is always getting into trouble, or not doing things that they should be doing. There also seems to be one pet that either causes another pet to visit the vet’s, or maybe they are at the vet’s a little more than normal. This pet also needs to get a job to pay for these vet bills.

Tinky is just that pet. The last time I was at the vet’s was when Tinky gave Jonesy a “shiner”. This time it is Tinky who had the privilege of visiting the vet’s office. Nothing serious, just a little respiratory infection. Tinky made sure that her vet got a good little chunk of George Dubya’s gift to little ole’ me that economically stimulated his bank account.

I give Tinky a pepsid tablet twice a day to help her little upset tummy, as well as an antibiotic that is given to her in a syringe.

You would think Tinky would be more appreciative of the things I do for her. Nooooo….not Tinky. Every time she sees the medicine bottle or the syringe, she takes off down the hall….zzzzzzip! I don’t have the energy to run after her every time, so I just wait until she forgets about everything. Eventually she comes back, and when she does….Zzzaaap…I got her. She doesn’t know what hit her. Aaackk Aaackk…

She has made a complete recovery, is feeling great now, and is back to her bad self again. Now she is bugging me to take her to see this……….

Mother’s Day was wonderful. You couldn’t have asked for better weather. My children and their families came over and brought all the fixins’. My son barbecued and my daughter cooked. I received two home made Mother’s Day Cards from my 9 year old and my 21 year old grandsons.

We were all on the patio and my daughter decided to cut the cake. I went inside to get a knife and when I came back, I found a little visitor in my chair.

On May 5th I did a post about the Petco Unleashed Chihuahua Races that were held last Saturday in San Bruno, California. I had also posted a photo of Chloe, the winner of the Chihuahua races…or so I thought. The Chihuahua Race was a hot topic, and I received a lot of visitors on my post. One of the visitors was the owner of Chloe, the little Chi Pug mix who won that race. Chloe’s mom told me that the picture I posted was not of Chloe, and if I wanted a picture, she would be glad to email one to me. Well folks, I am here to say that I now have bonafide pictures of Chloe, the first place winner and the speediest Chihuahua of the PETCO Unleashed Chihuahua Races 2008! I was also privileged to get a little more information about Chloe herself.

Katrina and Mel Soledad adopted Chloe and her brother in May 2006 from the Tri-City Animal Shelter in Fremont California. They had always wanted a dog that looked like a Labrador retriever puppy but wouldn’t get as big as a retriever. Then they saw Chloe in the pound and knew that Chloe was the dog of their dreams. When they adopted Chloe, they were warned that Chloe was a jumper, a licker and an “escape artist”.

Katrina and Mel take Chloe on hiking trails at Bayfront Park that contains large hiking trails, and lots of squirrels, ducks and rabbits that run around. Chloe loves to check out all the animals and loves to run. She can sprint 150 to 200 feet in a flash.

This was Chloe’s second time participating in the PETCO Unleashed Chihuahua Races. The first time Chloe participated, Katrina saw the race for the World’s Fastest Chihuahua on the Oprah Show two days before the competition that was to take place in San Bruno. They entered Chloe and she came in second! Since this was Chloe’s first race, they didn’t know the tricks other dog owners were using. The winning dog’s owners were dangling hot dogs and toys at the finish line.

This year they entered Chloe and she came in first place clocking in at 1.6 seconds! Congratulations Chloe on your win. We hope you do well at the Finals at PETCO Park in San Diego on August 31st!

Katrina will be reading this post, so I would like all of my bloggy friends to congratulate Chloe and wish her well on the upcoming PETCO Unleashed Chihuahua Races in August!

Isn’t Chloe a cutie pie? She looks like she is full of energy, and she is ice cream powered!

Hi everybody…Tinky here…..Sissy just told me that she just found out it was going to be Mothers Day this Sunday and her and Jonesy and me should do something nice for mom. We all got together and brain stormed. You see, three little brains make one big brain!  After a lot of discussion, this is what we thought mom would like for Mothers Day.

First we are going to wake her gently with lots and lots of licks. I have to remind Jonesy that he is NOT to target the inside of mom’s nose. She hates that! Then we are going to serve her breakfast in bed. I know exactly where Sissy has hidden her bone and I will bring it to her. I think I might know where a really delicious corn chip is too. I think I saw one in the corner.

Then we will let her rub our tummies because we know that she likes to do this the most.  Then when she is so deliriously happy, we will bring out the big guns!

TAA DAA!!!!!

She won’t know what hit her! We would also like to wish our bloggy mommy friends, a very Happy Mothers Day. I am curious…what are you going to do for Mother’s Day?
